PVR from scratch is a project to build a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) using open source software and easily obtainable hardware. The hardware is build from personal computer components, the operating system is Linux and the PVR software is Python programs. Python in a scripting language that runs on various platforms including Microsoft Window, Mac OsX and Linux.
